Documenting Your Human Experience

About

Hello! Thank you for stopping by…

Let me introduce myself.

I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a dancer, a photographer, and a human being living in Los Angeles who is trying to make herself and the world around her a little better each day.

The majority of my life has been spent as a dancer and a choreographer. (I have traveled extensively for work during most of my career, so I am not afraid to leave home to get the job done). My intent is always to draw out the real human emotion in my dancers, instead of theatrical representations of those feelings. My approach to photography is the same.

I initially picked up my camera to take pictures of my daughter. She is a joy and a light and I want to remember the way she makes me feel, not just the way she looks. The photo on this page is one of those moments. I was at my desk working and she came into me and said, “mama, please come read to me.” I was under a pile of work and under deadline, but I know she won’t always want me to read to her. I will forever look at this photo and remember the weight of her in my lap and hear her laughter in my ears.

A photograph can transport you right back to a moment, that’s what I want to capture for you.
